| Kevin,
Thanks again, you've been a pleasure to work with and the CD-S100
is pretty amazing, just what I was looking for and if continues
to break in as it has so far, than it's actually a step up(!) from
my $1700 Linn.

"The best Classical recording for musicality and impact I
have listened to so far on the Shanling (CD-S100), is Isaac Stern's
Bach Violin Concertos, which sounded very lively and realistic.
I think it has opened up since the first playing and my initial
impression is that it is a good value for the money as advertised."

Thanks again, Kevin. I wish every transaction were
as smooth as this one, and that every vendor were as communicative
and helpful. The Shanling CD-S100 arrived here in the States
in perfect condition. Your care in packaging was evident. I
really like the clean, simple design of the faceplate and the
fact this unit is solid as a tank. I'm not wealthy, so I appreciate
that Shanling designed this unit so that my money goes toward a high-quality
transport, servo and DAC and not for items I either don't need
or that don't improve sound quality much, such as headphone jacks,
phase shifters and variable outputs. It's great that
it comes with a digital out, but I imagine it'll be years before stand-alone
DACs improve beyond the 24/96 Burr-Browns the Shanling comes with.
It sounds fantastic right out of the box; it's hard to believe
it'll sound even better after it's finished burning in. Another
bonus is Shanling's aluminum-jacketed remote, which is well-designed
ergonomically and would look at home paired with a unit costing
thousands more.
