| For those potential customers
with solid state preamps who might ask whether the BC-28's musicality
might be incompletely fulfilled with such a pairing, I for one can
affirm the wonderful synergy of this amp with my recently acquired
solid state unit. I have now mated your amps with a modest tubed
active preamp, a modest passive volume control and my new ss active
preamp, which comes closest to the BC-28 in comparable quality.
As expected, I heard differences among these configurations, yet
the BC-28s made remarkable music with all. While amazing transparency
willears aware of the relative attributes of upstream components,
the BC-28s have proven to be impressively versatile performers.
My experiences and observations are those of a serious amateur audiophile
and not a professional reviewer, but I'll wager you that few, if
any, "pros" subject the BC-28s to as full a gamut of preamp
choices as I have.
Thanks again for helping to bring more of the joy of music into
my home.

My initial impressions with bi-amped BC-28s:
Music has "life" at low to moderate volumes. This
was exactly what I was seeking with the added power. I'm now
able to truly enjoy my system without edging up the preamp volume
to get lifelike reproduction and energy. Bass is noticeably more
articulate.
Another layer of low level treble detail has been opened up, especially
with percussion. I just listened to "All Blues"
from Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue" and Jimmy Cobb's brushwork
on the drums gave the illusion that his drumset was in my room.
I can't thank you enough for steering me to the BC-28s. I'm
finally off the upgrade merry-go-round!
