Blue Circle’s BC9 preamplifier is the culmination of years of intensive research. Its design is closest to the flagship AG3000 of any Blue Circle preamp. It represents everything a preamplifier should be… musical, detailed, smooth, airy, extended, dynamic, and, most importantly, engaging! The BC9 does all of these things to an extent that leaves other preamplifiers at this level looking thin and fatiguing! The BC9 employs 4-6922 tubes and was designed as the fully balanced counterpoint to Blue Circle’s BC8 monoblocks. To say the least, this combination is enough to keep anyone smiling for years. In our experiences with various setups, we can tell you that the BC9 in a single-ended set-up sounds equivalent to the BC3000 MkII preamplifier.
