The BC3 Galatea has been Blue Circle’s most famous product for quite a while.  It has been well received since its birth in the mid 90s and quickly gained a Stereophile Class A recommendation which to this day, still stands.  Therefore, when we tell you that Blue Circle has discontinued this product and replaced it with the MkII version, you have to believe us when we tell you that Blue Circle did a smart thing!!

The BC3 Galatea was a great preamp.  The BC3 Galatea MkII is an incredible preamp and represents absolutely astonishing performance for its price tag!  There isn’t one thing that the MkII version doesn’t do better than the Galatea.

For those of you considering the BC3 Galatea, you can rest assured that you are getting a preamp that will keep you smiling for years to come.  The MkII version produces a very seductive sound that is both authoritative and remarkably delicate all at once.
