The BC21.1 employs 6922 tubes rather than
the 6SN7s used in the BC21. The 6922 is the same tube used in our
BC3, BC3000 and AG3000 preamplifiers.
The 6922 brings the advantage of superior reliability, more linearity,
reduced noise and tube microphonics. The tube mounting technique
is the same "silicone bubble" that we employ in our AG3000
preamplifier.
The circuit has been redesigned and now more closely resembles
the circuit topology of the BC3 AG3000 preamps than it does
the original BC21 design.

In addition to the above changes, Blue Circle has added two upgrade
options that are based on customer feedback over the years.
Which option is right for you is dependent on what you’re
looking at getting from your sound.
Option 1:
Remote Control Upgrade
– Blue Circle has just released a remote control option that
can be added to the BC21.1.
Option 2:
Shallco Attenuator Upgrade – For those of you who want the
most from the preamp, this option is highly recommended. This
attenuator is the same one used in both the BC3 series and the AG
preamp!! It greatly simplifies the audio signal and makes
a marked improvement in the sound obtained. |
